The History that shaped SecPod
SecPod began in 2008 with a clear belief that cybersecurity should stop problems before they turn into attacks. Starting a deep-tech company during a global recession was not the obvious path, but from day one, SecPod chose to build with patience, discipline, and long-term conviction. The company grew through bootstrapping, stayed focused on a single mission, and spent its early years laying a strong foundation for product innovation rather than chasing shortcuts. That mindset still defines who we are today.
In those formative years, SecPod's work extended beyond building products. The company contributed to open source security efforts, including work connected to OpenVAS, snort, Oval and played a role in standards-driven security through contributions to SCAP. Those contributions reflected an early commitment to advancing the wider cybersecurity ecosystem, not just building for ourselves. Over time, the research, engineering depth, and security intelligence developed through that work became a core part of SecPod's identity.
That foundation also led other major cybersecurity companies to trust and license SecPod's technology within their own offerings. Through OEM licensing, APIs, and SDKs, SecPod has helped technology vendors embed proven vulnerability and exposure management capabilities into their products, giving partners a faster path to market with mature, automation-driven security. This ability to power other platforms is a reflection of the strength and credibility of the technology SecPod has built over the years.
As the company evolved, SecPod turned that experience into its own platform journey. Today, SecPod brings together prevention-first cybersecurity across enterprise IT and cloud environments through offerings such as Saner CVEM and Saner Cloud. What began as a focused effort to improve cyber hygiene has grown into a broader company philosophy: bring clarity to complexity, reduce risk early, and help organizations act with confidence before attackers get the advantage.
